Second Session: Out to Sea

After escaping the temple (Bane’s? Another deity’s?) the party encountered a group of frog-men who worshipped a pile of black ooze. The creatures attempted to persuade the party to join them, but diplomacy proved useless. The ooze itself joined in the attack – an unfortunately recurring theme.

The party floated on the remains of their vessel, taking the time to kill a giant kraken with an poorly planned whirlpool gimmick. They eventually washed up on the shore of Blackwell.

Canonically, Agro Crag threw himself off the debris and drowned. (That’s what the adventure log says.) This has presumably been retconned.

First Session: Escape

The party members found themselves led in chains to a sacrificial altar. Lord Jurgen spent far too long bragging about his superiority; a mysterious force loosened the party’s bonds and retrieved their weapons. Combat with Lord Jurgen and his executioners ensued. The leader of the temple called for backup, but the temple’s construction prevented anyone from hearing him. His final words denied Bane had any influence on these events.

Among Lord Jurgen’s belongings were an unfamiliar holy symbol and a list of the party’s crimes. After disguising themselves as cult members, fighting a vomiting fish monster and stealing a boat from the harbor, the party sailed off to find land.
